Adcef ( Generic Cefdinir )

Cefdinir is an antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infections, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and skin infections. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.Cefdinir comes as a capsule and as an oral suspension. It is usually taken once or twice a day. Shake the suspension well before each use to mix the medication evenly. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take cefdinir exactly as directed. Clarithromycin is used in combination with a proton pump inhibitor such as lansoprazole or omeprazole and the antibiotics metronidazole or amoxicillin for this purpose (triple therapy). Proton pump inhibitors reduce the production of acid in the stomach and help create an environment in the stomach in which the antibiotic can work more effectively against the bacteria. They also help the ulcer to heal.To make sure the bacteria causing an infection are susceptible to clarithromycin your doctor may take a tissue sample, for example a swab from the throat or skin. Clarosip drinking straws are single use straws that each contain a single dose of clarithromycin in granules. You put the lower end of the straw into a suitable drink and then sip the drink through the straw. This disperses the granules of medicine contained in the straw and you swallow them with the drink. The straw has a white controller that moves up the straw as you drink through it. When it reaches the top of the straw this indicates that the full dose has been taken. You should take all the dose at the same time - several sips of the drink may be needed.Suitable drinks are clear fluids, for example lemonades, fruit juices (without pulp), tea, milk or water. Hot drinks above 40C should be avoided. Carbonated (fizzy) drinks are preferable, as these can mask the sensation in the mouth caused by the granules. Hydrocortisone is a type of medicine known as a corticosteroid. Corticosteroids are hormones produced naturally by the adrenal glands which have many important functions on every organ system. Corticosteroids affect the strength of heart muscle and its response to natural chemicals affecting heart rate. They affect the water and salt balance in the body and also enable the body to cope with stress. Stress includes changes in temperature, pain, fear, anxiety and illness and can be hazardous if the body is not equiped to cope, due to low levels of corticosteroids. Corticosteroids allow us to respond to stress by increasing the rate and force of the heartbeat, increasing blood supply to essential tissues (muscle, heart, brain), increasing the body's supply of energy by raising blood sugar and by several other effects on body systems. Hydrocortisone is used as replacement therapy in people whose adrenal glands are not producing enough natural corticosteroids (adrenal insufficiency). This can be due to disease (Addison's disease), surgical removal of the adrenal gland(s) or damage to the adrenal glands. Low blood levels of corticosteroids must be treated with replacement therapy to allow the body to function normally.What is it used for? Buy insect repellent before traveling. The most effective insect repellents contain diethyltoluamide (DEET). In general, your doctor may slowly increase your dose to lower your chance of side effects until the right dose for you is determined.Do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed. Do not suddenly stop taking this drug without your doctor's approval. If you suddenly stop taking this drug, withdrawal reactions may occur. Such reactions can include seizures or hearing/seeing things that are not there (hallucinations). Report any such reactions to your doctor immediately. This medication is used to treat dry eyes due to a certain type of eye condition (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). It works by increasing the amount of tears you make.How to use Cyclosporine OphtThis medication is applied to the affected eye(s) usually twice a day, about 12 hours apart; or as directed by your doctor.To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tip of the vial or let it touch your eye. Before opening the vial, make sure the eye drops are well mixed by turning the vial upside down several times before use. Open the vial right before you are about to use it. The eye drops should have a milky, white appearance.Tilt your head back, look upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place the tip of the vial directly over the eye and apply 1 drop. Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.Discard the remaining contents of the opened vial immediately after use. Do not store the opened vial for later use.If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this medication and do not replace them until 15 minutes following use of these eye drops.If you are also using other drops for dry eyes (e.g., artificial tears), wait 15 minutes between use of the different products.

This medication is used to: treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body in men and women. treat early breast cancer in women who have already been treated with surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy. reduce the risk of developing a more serious type of breast cancer in women who have had ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS; a type of breast cancer that does not spread outside of the milk duct where it forms) and who have been treated with surgery and radiation. reduce the risk of breast cancer in women who are at high risk for the disease due to their age, personal medical history, and family medical history. Tamoxifen is in a class of medications known as antiestrogens. It blocks the activity of estrogen (a female hormone) in the breast. This may stop the growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow.Tamoxifen is usually taken once or twice a day with or without food. Take tamoxifen at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain anything you do not understand. Take tamoxifen exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Swallow tamoxifen tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them. Swallow the tablets with water or any other nonalcoholic drink.If you are taking tamoxifen to prevent breast cancer, you will probably take it for five years. If you are taking tamoxifen to treat breast cancer, your doctor will decide how long your treatment will last. Do not stop taking tamoxifen without talking to your doctor.If you forget to take a dose of tamoxifen, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it, and take your next dose as usual. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.Other uses for this medicine Tamoxifen is also used sometimes to induce ovulation (egg production) in women who do not produce eggs but wish to become pregnant. Tamoxifen is also sometimes used to treat McCune-Albright syndrome (a condition that may cause bone disease, early sexual development, and dark colored spots on the skin in children). Talk to your doctor about the possible risks of using this drug for your condition.

Fluvoxin ( Dumyrox, Fevarin, Faverin, Luvox, Generic Fluvoxamine )

Fluvoxamine is used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (bothersome thoughts that won't go away and the need to perform certain actions over and over). Fluvoxamine is in a class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).Fluvoxamine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It usually is taken either once daily at bedtime or twice daily, once in the morning and once at bedtime. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take fluvoxamine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.It may take several weeks or longer for you to feel the full benefit of fluvoxamine. This drug belongs to a group of medications called ACE inhibitors. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and in children 6 years of age and older. It works by relaxing blood vessels, causing them to widen. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems.This medication is also used after an acute heart attack to improve survival, and is used with other drugs (e.g., "water pills"/diuretics, digoxin) to treat congestive heart failure.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional.This medication may also be used to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes.How to use Lisinopril OralTake this medication by mouth, usually once a day or as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with or without food. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same time each day.If you are taking this drug in the liquid suspension form, shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the dose out carefully.Do not take potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first. This medicine can raise your potassium levels, which rarely can cause serious side effects such as muscle weakness or very slow heartbeats. Tell your doctor immediately if these effects occur.The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. For the treatment of high blood pressure, it may take 2 to 4 weeks before the full benefit of this drug occurs. It may take several weeks or months to see the full benefit when this drug is used for congestive heart failure.It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.
